Richard
J. Boyle
Curriculum Vitae
Professor Boyle is the former
director of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine
Arts and a professor Emeritus of American art
history at Temple University. In addition to being
the author of the first major book on
American Impressionism, he
has written books on Willard Metcalf and John
Twachtman. He is also the author of numerous
monographs and exhibition catalogues, including
those on Will Barnet, Arthur Dow, Max Kuehne, and
Charles W. Hawthorne; plus, the contemporary artists
Bob Kane and Bill Scott. His most recent book is
Double Lives: American Painters as
Illustrators, 1850–1950, which
accompanied a traveling
exhibition. |

Hastings Falk
Curriculum Vitae
The author of many reference
books on American artists, Mr. Falk is best known
for his three-volume biographical dictionary, Who
Was Who in American Art, as well as for
pioneering in the publishing of art auction indices.
His research tools include his extensive
Exhibition Record Series, and he has written
more than thirty scholarly monographs on American
artists. |

Innes Homer
Curriculum Vitae
He is professor and chair
emeritus of the University of Delaware’s Department
of Art History, one of the country’s most
prestigious American Art programs. An
internationally recognized expert in both European
and American painting from the mid-nineteenth
through the mid-twentieth centuries, Dr. Homer is
the author of many critically acclaimed scholarly
books and articles, including major books on Georges
Seurat, Albert Pinkham Ryder, Alfred Stieglitz,
Robert Henri, and Thomas Eakins. |
